2 Year Appointment

Emma was to the doctor last week for her 2 year check-up. She is doing amazing and growing like crazy. We have another tall, tall girl. Emma now weighs 28.5 lbs (76%) and is 36.14 inches (97%). She is still running a little taller than Elia was at this age which surprises me. I think while Elia has long legs Emma has a very long torso. I have to buy her 3T shirts/dresses in order for them to be long enough. Pants she can still do 2T but 3T's are starting to fit. Dr. Burrows said she is doing amazing developmentally and she can tell she loves her big sister. The whole appointment she kept talking about Elia (Lala). Emma is talking in little sentences/statements and her vocabulary increases every day I think. She loves to sing, dance and play with her toys. Emma also loves to be with her big sister. Emma is loving dance class and getting to run around with other little girls. She is growing so quickly and I can not believe she is going to be 2 in a couple of weeks.

I will hopefully have the ultrasound pictures and details on baby up in the next couple of days. Jeff has been busy and has not scanned the pictures onto the computer yet. Sorry I know it has been 2 1/2 weeks since the appointment but better late than never. :)

Emma's First Dance Class

Emma had her first dance class last Friday. It went pretty well but Emma did fall asleep on the way to class. So it took some time for her to adjust to being around others. She did make a little friend and they were running around together. I think she is going to have fun and I like that Emma and I have something to do together. Doctor's Appointment

I was to the doctor's office today for my monthly visit. All seems to be going well so far. I was seen by the nurse practitioner today and it was a quick visit. Blood pressure is really good and baby sounded good. The heart rate was 160 again. This is staying pretty consistent with Elia. I think if I had to guess I would say we are having another little girl. This pregnancy seems to be going pretty similar to my other two. We do have our "big" ultrasound on Friday. I still do not want to know the gender. I think we are going to have them put the gender in an envelope and Jeff will open if he wants to know. He is talking about waiting until just before the baby is born, that way he doesn't have to keep it a secret long but has time to adjust to the results. :) We will see what happens.

Overall, I am feeling pretty good. Still pretty tired in the afternoons but keeping up with Elia and Emma is part of that sleepiness. I have been dealing with the sciatic nerve issue again. Luckily, it comes and goes but when it is bothering me I am in pain. I have been told some stretches and it helps some. The hardest part is it seems to get irritated when I am cleaning. This is driving me crazy because my two wild girls have learned to make quite the mess. Hopefully things get better or I may be convincing Jeff to hire a cleaning lady (haha).

Tomorrow is Elia's first day of school. She is looking forward to seeing her friends and meeting new friends. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow. Emma has her first dance class on Friday and Elia next Tuesday so we will have lots to share in the next week.
