6 Month Appointment

Emma was to the doctor today for her six month appointment.  The doctor said Emma seems to be doing really well and is growing and developing perfectly.  Emma is now 15 lbs 5 ozs (34%) and 27 inches tall (84%).  She seems to be growing at a steady rate and the doctor is very happy with all of Emma's milestones.  She is a very healthy baby!  Emma did receive four vaccinations today and was not very happy about it.  Luckily, one was an oral vaccine but she was not happy about her 3 shots.  Emma showed the nurse what a good set of lungs sound like. :)  She was fine once mommy held her and then slept most of the afternoon.   

6 Months!!!

Our baby girl is 6 months old today! I cannot believe Emma has been with us for half a year already. I still feel like she just came into the world. It has been a fun six months and we are looking forward to the next 6 months.

*Emma is rolling all over the place now. If we put her down she will roll over to her basket of toys or her car seat and grab at her toys. She is on the move!

*She is also sitting up pretty well now too.

*Emma is sleeping in her own crib and bedroom now. Since moving she has been sleeping pretty well. She goes to bed around 8:30 P.M. and usually sleeps until 6 A.M. has a little to eat and then goes back to sleep for another 2 hours.

*Emma is now eating rice cereal, applesauce, pears, sweet potatoes and carrots. She seems to like all of them and eats pretty well. She also tried a saltine cracker and loved it.

*She still is blowing raspberries like crazy and really is babbling away.

*Emma loves when Elia sings and dances. She will get the biggest grin and laughs away at Elia. She also loves playing peek-a-boo

Emma was to the orthopedic doctor yesterday and had x-rays done. The appointment went pretty well. Her hips are looking pretty good but the doctor mentioned that the angle on her left hip is a little greater than he would like it to be. It is still in normal range but he would like to watch it and he is hoping it will improve in the next few months. So we will go back in 4 months and have x-rays again and see if it has improved. He is not too worried about it and said if we have to do anything we will just have to splint it at night time. So we will see if it improves in a few months.

Playground Fun

On Sunday we put together the girls wagon they got for Christmas and headed to the toddler playground in our neighborhood. The girls had a lot of fun and loved riding around in their wagon.
