MERRY CHRISTMAS

Happy 3rd Birthday Elia!

Emma is 2 Months

Emma is 2 months today!  Wow have these last 2 months gone by fast but they have been a lot of fun.  Emma is growing and changing it seems like every day.

* Emma now sleeps in her pack and play each night and sleeps 6-7 hours, eats and then goes back to sleep for another 3 hours.

* She is cooing and smiling even more

*Emma is eating every 2-3 hours during the day

*She is starting to grab for things.  She has started grabbing her monkey and bird on her bouncer.

*Emma still loves to hear Elia sing and is recognizing her more now.

Emma has her 2 month appointment on Wednesday.  I am excited to see how much she has grown since she was born.  We are looking forward to celebrating Emma's first Christmas and hopefully she will be meeting Grandma and Grandpa Bird and Uncle Derek.  I will let you know how the appointment goes on Wednesday.

Update

Emma was to the doctor yesterday for her hip.  It was just a quick appointment to check her harness and make sure everything was going okay.  Well Emma must have eaten well on Thanksgiving because they had to move her into the next size harness.  She was too long for her other one and it didn't fit well in the chest area either.  We had figured she would need to move to the next size because of the chest area but I was surprised that the length was to small too!  Next week Emma will have another ultrasound and then the following week see Dr. Craig again.  He did say though that if every thing looks good we will go to just wearing the harness at nighttime for a couple of weeks and then be done.  Emma would then have an x-ray at 6 months to make sure everything is still good.  So hopefully the hips look good next week and we will be getting out of the harness soon.

Thanksgiving was a great time this year.  Elia had so much fun playing with her cousins and eating all the yummy food.  Emma was able to meet more members of the family and she was loved on a lot!  On Saturday Grandma Bronson took Elia to the Civic Theater to see Cinderella.  They had lots of fun and Caitie and Aleeyah went too.  Elia is really in a princess phase right now so this was a huge hit with her.  Emma experienced her first Black Friday this year with mommy.  I didn't go out with her until later in the morning but she was so good!  Hopefully I have a little shopping buddy.  

We are getting excited for Elia's 3rd birthday and Emma's first Christmas.  Enjoy the holidays and hopefully we will see lots of family and friends these next few weeks!
