Trike-A-Thon

Elia had her trike-a-thon at her preschool yesterday. It looked like it was going to rain but it held off until our drive home. Elia had a lot of fun and it was cute watching all of the kids ride their bikes. Elia did pretty good riding her bike and did about 7 laps and then decided to she needed a break and went and played on the playground. She played for a little bit and then did a few more laps. It was funny because the boys were really into riding their bikes but the girls after a few laps wanted to play instead of riding their bikes. It was a fun morning and thank you to everyone who donated.

Emma's 8 Months!!!

*Emma is crawling now!  She still prefers to roll around the floor but she has begun crawling today!

*She has been an early riser lately.  She usually wakes up around 6 AM every morning and then takes a short morning nap.  She still is not a great napper but is starting to take them a little more.

*Emma is becoming a great eater.  She loves all of the baby food she eats but is not a fan of cereal anymore.  She will eat cereal mixed with fruit in a jar.  Emma loves saltine crackers, rice cakes and has gotten to try Popsicles.

*Emma loves to play with Elia.  Anytime Elia walks into a room Emma will just start giggling.  She really loves her big sister.

*She has begun waving and clapping her hands.  She loves when we say "yay" and will start clapping.

*Emma still loves to play with her toys and has been getting into sister's toys too.

*Still just 2 teeth but I think there is another one coming in on the bottom.

Crawling

I will be doing this post later today but I couldn't wait to announce that Emma is CRAWLING!!!!  She did it for the first time this morning.  She is still getting the hang of it but has been moving all morning.  It is so exciting to see her reach another milestone.

Our "new" toy

We went to some garage sales today and finally found an outside toy for the girls. We have been watching and Elia was so excited. I think we will get lots of use out of our "new" toy!

Jumping is hard work

Toledo Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we took the girls to the zoo. Elia LOVES polar bears and the zoo has a new polar bear baby so she was very excited to see it! It was a great family day and Elia had a blast seeing all of the animals and doing all of the activities they have there. Emma wasn't really into the animals yet but she loved watching all of the people.
