Neighborhood Halloween Party

On Saturday our neighborhood had a children's Halloween party. It was a little chilly but Elia had fun. They had cider, donuts, cookies and candy for everyone. The kids had a little parade through part of the neighborhood, a fire truck came to visit and then they had a candy drop for the kids. Elia really seems to be getting onto Halloween this year. It is so much fun to see her growing. I can not wait until Friday when she will be trick-or-treating.

Little Boo at the Toledo Zoo

This past Thursday Jeff took the day off and we brought Elia to the Toledo Zoo for Little Boo at the Zoo. It was a nice day and Elia had fun collecting treats, playing games and seeing all the animals.

Having Fun in the Leaves

Swimming Lessons

Elia has had two swimming lessons so far and she loves the water. Daddy gets to go in the pool with her and each week they work on a skill. The first week they just had the kids get used to the pool and played with some toys. Elia liked that but she wasn't to good with sharing the toys. She really wanted them all to herself. There also is another class going on that has older kids and they were using life jackets. Well Elia really wanted to use a life jacket too. I think once she gets one on she will probably think diffrently. This past week they worked on blowing bubbles. Well Elia was blowing but she did not want to stick her head in the water. I guess we are going to have to work on that skill. Also, mommy had to come into the pool half-way through class because she wanted both mommy and daddy in the water. Lucky mommy! She really seems to like swimming though.

Another new bike

Elia got a tricycle recently. After her first swimming lesson we stopped at a garage sale and they had this tricycle there. It had only been rode on a couple of times and so it was a great deal. Elia loves riding on it and really enjoys that she can scoot around on it by using her feet. She does pedal this bike a lot better than her other one too. Hope we continue to have nice fall weather so she can get some more use out of it outside.

Football Time

Last Friday we went to cousin Jake's football game. Elia was so excited to go and she had fun cheering Jake on at the game. It was a little cold but that didn't seem to bother Elia at all.
